About the Doctor
Dr. Dan C. Kjeldgaard was born and raised in Council Bluffs, IA with two brothers and a sister. Raised in an athletic family, Dan seemed to excel in wrestling along with his older brother Doug and his younger brother David. He was a High School Academic All American at Lewis Central High School and graduated in 1992. He was also an All American in Greco roman and Freestyle wrestling while in high school, despite serious back pain episodes. Dan continued to wrestle in college at the University of Northern Iowa, while studying Biology and Chemistry to prepare for Veterinary School. A four year varsity member, and a three year NCAA Division I National Tournament Qualifier, Dan had success despite the worsening back problems.	Dr. Dan Kjeldgaard
One particular bad episode of back pain left Dan so disabled that he could not even walk without assistance. He decided to try Chiropractic care for the first time since nothing else seemed to work. Within two weeks he was back on the mat and had one of the best tournaments of his college career. The amazing results Dan experienced with Chiropractic prompted him to research the profession and its science and procedures. After visiting local Chiropractors around the college and doing some research, Dan made the decision to enter Chiropractic School instead of Veterinary School, and to help others like him live a better quality of life. Throughout Chiropractic School, despite weekly adjustments, Dan would still have debilitating episodes of low back pain every 6-8 months. Then in his last year of school he heard about a new technically advanced, highly researched, structural rehabilitation technique called Chiropractic Biophysics, or CBP. Dan began attending weekend seminars to learn the technique while still attending normal class all week. He also began applying the CBP procedures to himself and for the first time in ten years the back problems went away! Dr. Dan C. Kjeldgaard Graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 2001 and moved back to his home town of Council Bluffs, IA. Dr. Dan opened up Advanced Chiropractic in August of 2002 and is happy to be able to serve the community in which he was raised. After 72 hours of training, and a written and practical exam, Dr. Dan was accepted as a Distinguished Fellow of Chiropractic Biophysics in 2002. This Certification makes Dr. Dan the only Certified CBP Chiropractor in the Omaha metro area. In fact, there are only three in Iowa and three in Nebraska. Dr. Dan continues to attend seminars and takes pride in keeping up on the latest advances in Chiropractic and health care.
